Kary Laskin is a seasoned brand builder with nearly two decades of experience driving growth by helping businesses discover their place and purpose through human connections and culture. Kary drove integrated strategy and marketing communications at Edelman for 17 years, creating impact and category breakthrough for iconic global brands like Unilever, Mars, PepsiCo, Starbucks, Wingstop, eBay, Xfinity, Virgin Galactic, and others. She’s also elevated emerging brands like Root Insurance and Jackery through growth-driven strategy and creative storytelling.

Her strategy expertise also includes rich thought leadership and IP, including Edelman’s Trust Barometer and Gen Z Lab, a first-of-its-kind generational consulting offering grounded in research. Kary also designed purpose and sustainability programs for brands like Starbucks, Dove, AXE, and Mars Nutro.

Kary has served global brands across sectors and markets, having lived in and led teams in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, and China.

Before Edelman, Kary supported public relations, talent management, and production at Food Network and Lifetime. She also co-founded Brooklyn Spirits, LLC. – a local importer, distributor, and creator of Gary’s Good and Brooklyn Republic™ spirits lines.

Kary holds Bachelor degrees from The Pennsylvania State University in both Marketing and Public Relations and is fluent in Russian. A passionate foodie, she also has a Certificate of Food Product Development from Cornell University.
